Having started to write songs as a child, Elif won the admission exam for Izmir Conservatory piano department at the age of 10. She continued to compose and at the age of 17, she went to Ankara, Bilkent Music Faculty for composition education and won full scholarship. After graduating on the high honor list, she moved to Istanbul. While making music for TV series, short films and theatre plays, she continued to produce and record her own songs. She played with different musicians at many events, concerts and festivals and worked as a piano teacher for years. Leaving Istanbul in 2014, Elif started to study for a music therapy master’s degree in ESMUC, Barcelona in 2015.
She took part in the movie “Antonio Cumple 50” as a composer. After completing her master degree, she started working as a piano teacher in ESMUC and also worked with fibromyalgia patients as a music therapist. In 2019, she started to work with Edu Martinez as her musical producer and recorded her first EP, Dreamwalker. After the release of Dreamwalker in 2020, she continued working on her second EP, and thus Hortum took its place on digital platforms in May, 2022.
