Born in İzmir in 1974, Ozan Ünal completed his primary, secondary and high school education in İzmir. He got admitted to the Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Design Department of Dokuz Eylül University,. He then left this department and transferred to Fashion and Accessories department at the same faculty. During his education, he received awards in design competitions such as; Beymen Academia Design Competition, Leather Days Design Competition. Ünal represented Turkey in the Young Designer Seminar organized by SAGA International Design Center based in Denmark. In 2000, he graduated with a thesis on “Restricted Imagination-Designer’s Perspective”. In 2001, he founded Studio Pi Design and Art Studio in Karsiyaka, Izmir. Ünal participated in several group exhibitions in and outside the country, and organized personal exhibitions such as: “dream harvest”, “once there was once there wasn’t”, “man is not a black spot”, “outsiders”, “seesaw”. He continues his sculpture works at his studio in Karsiyaka-İzmir.
